Bristol Sling Library exists to help parents to find the best sling or carrier for them and their child. Good quality comfortable slings can be expensive and we would like to help families to have an easy way to try before they buy. There is no sling or carrier that is the best for everyone and what suits you will depend on your size and shape and situation. We have a wide range of carriers that you can come and try and then hire for a short period to see if they suit your needs.
The library is open every other Tuesday between 10-12 am at The Bubbahub play cafe, 20 North Street Southville. http://thebubbahub.co.uk
We are also open on the first Tuesday of the Month 1-4 at Playful play cafe on Fenton Road in Bishopston, just off Gloucester Road. http://www.playfulcafe.co.uk
More information in the How to hire a sling section of this website. IMPORTANT! If you would like to hire a sling please remember to bring your chequebook or enough cash to cover the deposit. Otherwise we unfortunately cannot lend you a sling. If you are unable to come to meets, Slings can be tried and hired from my home in St Agnes (near St Pauls) by appointment.
In addition to this, the Bristol Babywearers are running a variety of workshops on sling use, from introduction to slings, through to wrapping workshops and back-carrying workshops, tailored to suit your needs. Please get in touch if you are interested in attending one of these, or have a look at our Facebook page.
